This Privacy Policy explains how WatchPlayer ("the app", "we", "our") handles information when you use the app on iPhone and Apple Watch. WatchPlayer is developed by an independent developer ("Pixelapp"). If you have questions, contact mohamedazad415@gmail.com.
What WatchPlayer does
WatchPlayer lets you search and watch YouTube videos on your iPhone, with your Apple Watch acting as a remote control (play/pause, seek, skip, save). Video playback uses YouTube's official embedded player. WatchPlayer does not download, extract, cache, or redistribute YouTube video or audio streams — all playback happens through YouTube's own player and is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Information stored only on your device. Your saved videos, watch history, and app preferences (playback speed, loop, sleep timer, etc.) are stored locally on your iPhone and synced to your paired Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This data stays on your own devices and is never sent to us or to any server we operate — WatchPlayer has no backend server and does not collect analytics or usage tracking.
Information from the YouTube Data API (public data). When you search for videos or browse trending content, WatchPlayer sends your search query or request to the YouTube Data API (Google) to retrieve public video metadata (titles, thumbnails, channel names, view counts, public comments). No personal account information is required or sent for this.
Information from Google Sign-In (optional). If you choose to sign in with your Google account, WatchPlayer requests permission to access your YouTube data on your behalf, using Google's OAuth sign-in. We only request this after you explicitly tap "Sign in with Google," and you can decline or revoke it at any time. When signed in, WatchPlayer can, only at your direction:
- Show your YouTube subscriptions, playlists, and liked videos
- Like or dislike a video on your behalf
- Post a comment or reply on your behalf
- Create a playlist or add a video to one of your playlists on your behalf
These actions are performed directly between your device and the YouTube Data API using a Google-issued access token. WatchPlayer does not store your Google password, does not store a copy of your YouTube data on any server, and does not share this data with any third party. The access token is stored securely on your device (via Google's sign-in SDK) and is used only to make the API calls described above.

Limited Use disclosure. WatchPlayer's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we use information
We use the information described above solely to provide the app's core functionality: playing YouTube videos, letting you control playback from your Apple Watch, and — if you sign in — showing and managing your own YouTube account data inside the app. We do not use your data for advertising, we do not build advertising or tracking profiles, and we do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties. The only data transmission that occurs is directly between your device and Google's YouTube Data API, which is necessary to provide the features described above and is governed by Google's own Privacy Policy.
Data retention and deletion
Locally stored data (saved videos, history, preferences) remains on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. If you signed in with Google, you can sign out at any time from Settings inside the app, which removes the locally stored access token. You can also fully revoke WatchPlayer's access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.
Children's privacy
WatchPlayer is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
